This leaves me to wonder why Emsisoft Emergency Kit seemed to find so many files that Malwarebytes seemed to have missed. I know that Malwarebytes is considered to be a great program here on these forums. Then I ran the Emsisoft Emergency Kit and it found about eight files, two of them listed as trojans. First I ran Malwarebytes and it found one file that was considered to be unneeded. Since both of the above programs worked so well on my main computer, I decided to run both of them on my laptop as well.

I decided to buy Malwarebytes and install it on both my main computer and also my laptop. After running them and deleting some unwanted programs my main computer's performance improved a lot. While trying to find a problem on my main computer recently, one of the moderators requested that I run two anti-malware programs Malwarebytes and Emsisoft Emergency kit.

Posted 04 June - AM One more vote for Emsisoft here, if only because Emsisoft is less prone to problems, has better AM detection and better support.Jump to content. As such, I agree with Aura and would recommend Emsisoft. Posted 03 June - PM Although Norton Symantec is as good as any other well known anti-virus program, IMO it is better utilized in an Enterprise system environment protecting many client computers. Like quietman says, there's no amount of money that can buy that much dedication, and in my opinion, companies like Emsisoft and Malwarebytes have shown it many, many times. Even today, it finds itself in hot waters And I'm not even talking about their own forums where they offer support and free malware removal. I've dealt with Norton a lot in the past and even todayand it's still not worth being used as an everyday Antivirus. Therefore, my recommendation would be to go with Emsisoft. WEBROOT ANTIVIRUS REDDIT PC
How my notebook survived this first few months, I'll never know! My point is that, despite my early-days naivety, looking back I'd have expected better protection as a beginner from what I was led to believe to be! Im a rookie and purely recreational pc user.

There were times that my pc was riddled with both malware and adware, overheated and on occasion, wouldn't even shut down!

Having a keen interest in music as well as being generally internet-curious, I foolishly made use of Bearshare, one or two rogue extensions, a whole host of P. In my first year as a novice pc user inI had multiple malware issues whilst using N as my one and only AV suite. If I didn't reply to you within 48 hoursplease send me a PM.
